Flower in the hotel garden in Dumaguete

This flower grew in the garden at the hotel in Dumaguete. It is a beautiful flower and it looks funny, because it seems to have its roots in the air. Is it an orchid? Dumaguete is the city where MrsC went to the university and lived for a number of years, before she moved to the USA. We stayed in Dumaguete for a few days. The hotel we stayed at was a very nice hotel, named "South Sea Resort Hotel". The next several pictures are different pictures of the hotel and the beautiful views around it.
